How to Become a MORE Confident Woman

Not taking that risk is the biggest risk you're taking right now.

~Mel Robbins

I've been thinking a lot about confidence lately. The roller-coaster ride of ups and downs that life can throw our way can often mess with our self-esteem.

There are days that I wake up feeling amazing about myself, and then, there are times that I'm my own worst enemy.

That ebb and flow is natural.

When things in life are not going well - when we are feeling a general sense of lack of control in what's going on around us (poor health, loss, frustrating relationships) we start to feel powerless. It's easy to start to withdraw and miss out on all the good stuff in life.

Small seeds of doubt start to seep into our psyche as we get older, especially living in a youth-obsessed world. Most of the time I like being the age I am, but this aging stuff is complex.

One would think, given its inevitability that aging wouldn't be as much of a surprise. But when it's happening to you it is.

Although easier said than done, there is no point in having angst about aging. I will get old, I might be fat or thin. Some days I look radiant and others dragged-out and worn-out.

Can you relate?

When we fall into a funk it takes some work to get our groove back. Here's the thing. Through simple, consistent changes in your thinking and actions you'll create more confidence. Confidence doesn't come out of no-where. It's not a personality trait. It's a combination of perspectives, thoughts and actions.

Confidence is something you create. Start. You deserve to feel strong and beautiful.
