What's Your Story?

design your life Sep 25, 2019

The coolest people I've ever met have the most colorful pasts, they've lived lives of risk, made bad choices, learned lessons, explored and they're not afraid of being real. Tattered tapestries woven of similar threads, they're my kind of people. My favorite shades of crazy.

~S.L. Lizotte

I find it ironic that in all the noise of our day-to-day existence and in amongst all the technology and communication advancements, our world has grown less personal and somehow less real.

What truly connects us to each other and our truest self is our stories. Brené Brown tells us When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write the  ending.

I have heard stories that have changed my life, in hindsight realized that they were very specific to what I needed to hear at the time.

I have also learned that the stories I tell myself only have the power and meaning that I give them.

What are your real stories? What stories are holding you back? Which stories can you re-write?

In writing my story in Wear Your Life Well: Lessons on the Journey to your Truest Self  I discovered a new story about myself. I realized that in any single moment I could use my gifts and talents to serve others and create a life I love and deserve if I just gave myself permission to be less than perfect.

It was not only a writing journey, but a life journey for me.

And it's changed my life, forever.

Soon I'll be opening registration for my signature program Midlife Makeover in which you'll discover that with a new look and outlook midlife is anything but a crisis.

Discover a new story about yourself.

You don't need to look perfect or be perfect to be happy.

You don't have a best-before date.

You are FLAWSOME. ( A woman who embraces her flaws and knows they are awesome regardless.)

I see you. I'm there too. We're in this together.
